Feckless

I say your painting is feckless
So... you add more flecks to it.
Did you improve it or am I too fickle?

You did not improve it. Feckless means lacking purpose or careless...

... adding more flecks did not help...
..... since a fleck is a small mark or dot.

Feckless
1. Lacking purpose or vitality;  feeble or ineffective.
2. Careless and irresponsible.

Fleck
1. A tiny mark or spot: flecks of mica in the rock.
2. A small bit or flake.
